Can you help with character consistency in AI image generation?

Yes. Maintaining the same character’s look across multiple AI-generated images is one of my specialties – and also one of AI’s trickier challenges. I use advanced prompt techniques, and creative workflows to keep a character’s defining features steady from image to image. Current generative tools (like Midjourney) don’t have perfect memory for characters, but I’ve developed imaginative solutions – from leveraging Flux to Hey Gen to Open Art – to achieve remarkable coherence. What do I need to get started with learning AI art?

Getting started with AI art requires much less than you might think – mostly curiosity and an internet connection. You’ll need a computer or laptop and access to the internet, since our lessons are conducted online (we usually connect via Zoom for screen-sharing). For the art tools themselves, I’ll help you with all the setup: for example, Midjourney (our primary AI image tool), we’ll get you signed up there and discuss subscription options. You don’t need any fancy hardware or prior software knowledge. Essentially, bring your imagination and willingness to learn – I’ll guide you through the rest, from installing the right apps to navigating settings and crafting your first prompts. With just a few basic setup steps and an open mind, you’ll be ready to turn words into visuals and begin creating AI art.

Do I need any prior art or tech experience to learn AI art with Cy?

Not at all. No prior art or coding experience is required to begin your AI art journey here. My teaching approach is welcoming to absolute beginners while still enriching for those with some background. I’ve designed my lessons for everyone from enthusiasts and students to professional artists and business owners. This means if you’re a complete novice, we’ll start with the fundamentals (I’ll walk you through every step, assuming no prior knowledge). And if you do have art/design or tech experience, we’ll build on that to push into advanced creative techniques. Generative AI is a new frontier accessible to anyone with curiosity – you bring the imagination, I’ll bring the expertise. Together, we’ll unlock your creative potential, regardless of your starting point.

Which AI platforms and tools do you use and teach?

I work with a wide range of AI platforms to suit different creative goals. My primary canvas is Midjourney for text-to-image and text-to-video generation, where I’m an expert prompter and instructor. I also use and teach ChatGPT (for AI-driven writing, ideation, and prompt assistance) and I incorporate tools like Runway ML for AI video and multimedia, as well as Pika Labs for animation and even face-swapping techniques. In addition, I’m familiar with Leonardo.ai, Open Art, Flux, Suno, Hey Gen, Eleven Labs, Hume.AI, Kling, Veo 3, and likely more by the time your read this. In our sessions, I’ll introduce you to the tools that best fit your needs – whether you’re looking to create vivid images, compelling text, or experimental AI art forms. Can I record our sessions for personal review?

Yes, you’re welcome to record our sessions for your own personal review. Learning AI art involves a lot of new information and creative techniques, and having a recording can be a great way to revisit what we covered at your own pace. I understand that sometimes a concept or demo might click on the second viewing, so I encourage students to re-watch our sessions if it helps. The only thing I ask is that any recordings remain private and for your eyes only – this keeps our one-on-one session comfortable and respects the personal nature of the mentoring. With that in mind, feel free to hit record (I’m happy to pause briefly so you can set it up) and replay our lessons whenever you need a refresher or a spark of inspiration.

How many people can I bring to a private lesson or consultation?

My standard private lessons are one-on-one, meaning it’s typically just you and me for the most focused learning experience. That said, I’m flexible if you have a friend or a small team who wants to join in. For an intimate session, you can bring along another person (or two at most) – just let me know in advance so I can ensure the session is structured to engage everyone. I generally recommend keeping the group small (no more than 3 people total) so that each participant gets plenty of attention and hands-on guidance. If you’re interested in a larger group workshop or a corporate training session, we can certainly arrange a customized session to accommodate that at an extra cost. The key is that everyone involved is enthusiastic to learn; I’ll handle the rest, making sure the lesson is informative and enjoyable for all.
