In August 2022, I was a struggling writer—broke, uncertain, and looking for purpose—when I stumbled across Midjourney. Instantly, I was captivated. As a poet, the idea of turning words into stunning visual art felt like magic. I wasn’t a tech expert, coder, painter, or designer. I was just someone with a vision—and a lot of determination.

I dove deep. I haunted Discord servers, absorbed community tips, and asked “stupid” questions until they turned into smart conversations. I kept pushing, kept prompting, and eventually built an intuitive fluency in the language of AI.

Fast forward to now: I’ve created over 160,000 images in Midjourney, taught hundreds of students, and worked on everything from children’s books to concept art for film.

Generative AI is more than a tool—it’s a creative revolution. You don’t need a design degree or coding skills to join it. You just need curiosity, a guide, and the courage to start.
